Guest Designing for One Crazy Stamper

I have the privilege this month to design for One Crazy Stamper, an amazing online store with an amazing assortment of current stamps and card making products as well as copics and their prices are great to boot!  They are also opening a brick and mortar store in Bolton Ontario this month!

This month at One Crazy Stamper they are hosting a sketch challenge.  You have until the end of the month participate in the challenge and have a chance of winning a prize pack from Your Next Stamp.  Create it a card using this sketch and link it to the One Crazy Stamper blog.

For my card I rotated the sketch so that the embellishments would be on the left hand side of the card (though I did keep the sentiment right where it was).

I took the Stampavie, Cherie with her best friend Blondie stamp, and stamped it onto X-Press It card stock using Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo black ink.  I then coloured it in using my Lyra artist pencils, and blended using Sansodor and paper blending stumps.  I added some finishing touches with gel pens, like her belt buckle, jewelry, and scarf,  Blondie's bow, and added some golden brown highlights to her hair.  I cut out the image.  I started with a green sheet of Bazzill card stock for my base and layered it with Prima Annalee paper and DMC card stock, which I all machine stitched together.  I then cut a circle from some Prima Annalee paper and stitched the edges, then bordered it with die cuts using the smallest die in the Spellbinders Parisian Accents die set.  I used EK Success 3D foam dots to mount my image onto this and then added Kaisercraft pearls by the center of each diecut.  I then mounted all of this to the centre of the card using more foam adhesive.  I wrapped 7 Gypsies Savannah seam binding around the front of the card to the left of the image.  I took some more seam binding and using the bow easy, I tied a bow and added it on top of the seam binding about one third of the way up the card.  I then created a floral arrangement by the bow using Zva Creative flowers, Prima Flower of the Month May Lily flowers, stamens from the cake decorating department, unknown leaves, and the Martha Stewart twig punch.  Lastly I took some Whimsy friendship ticket and treasured moments ticket stamps and stamped them onto Prima Annalee paper using Adirondack and CTMH ink, and cut them out using the Whimsy ticket dies in my Cuttlebug.  I layered them and tucked them under the foam mounted circle in the bottom right hand corner of the card, and added another Prima May Lily flower and stamen, along with a punched twig leaf.

Dogwood bud

I used a roll of shipping wrap for the craft paper on this card, but to be honest it is a terrible colouring medium.  I printed the Dogwood Bud digi onto the craft paper and coloured it using Lyra pencils.  I layered it with pink card stock and another layer of craft stitching through the 2 craft layers, and finally adhering it to the white card base.  Lastly I added some Stickles to the flower stamen and a pink bow to the lower right hand side of the card to finish it off.

Card tag

We just finished of another round of card tag at kindred Creations, so I can show off the card I created.  I was asked to lift this card by Maria. 

I started by taking a white card base, and then cut strips 1/4" and 3/8" wide from pink card stock.which I then wove along the front of the card with an 1/8" spacing.  I then adhered the ends to the card base and trimmed the ends slightly shorter than the card edge.  I then took a piece of brown card stock and trimmed it a 1/4" smaller than the card base, took a Spellbinders Labels 17 and cut and embossed it from the center of the card.  I used this to mat the weave design  on the card and mounted it using foam adhesive.  I then took a some flowers and leaves from Multicraft and an unknown supplier, along with leaves punched with the Martha Stewart twig punch and created a floral arrangement along the bottom left hand corner.  I placed this gorgeous mirror butterfly from HomeDecor in the centre of the card with foam adhesive, and finished it off by adding some white KaiserCraft pearls in the top right hand corner.

Butterfly

I used a butterfly image for this summery card and teamed it with paper from the K&Co Berry Sweet mat pad.  I printed the image and coloured it with Lyra artist pencils and Gamsol, then traced the lines with a Versamark pen and embossed with white embossing powder.  I cut this image out.  I stitched the layers together and added Stickles to the edges.  The corner flourishes were cut using Spellbinders Parisian Accents.  I used foam adhesive to pop the smaller square layers and tucked a Heidi Swapp large blossom between.  I added some pearl sprays for antennae, and some pieces of KaiserCraft jewel flourishes under the butterfly.

Wedding card

I managed to sneak in a card between the wedding ceremony and the reception (I did have a store bought card sitting around from before my card making days just in case).  The bridemaids were all in yellow, which is what I drew my colour inspiration from.  I started with a ready made base and added champagne Versamark ink to the edges.  I layered that with yellow card stock embossed with the Kassie's Brocade embossing folder.  I then cut and embossed another piece of white card stock with the Spellbinders Labels 18, then printed the verse on it, placed it back in the Spellbinders die and inked the edges it with more Champagne Versamark.  I mounted the label on the center of the card with foam adhesive and added KaiserCraft pearls to the corners.  I then added a floral arrangement to the bottom left hand corner.  I tied a sheer white bow using the bow easy, and used some flowers from the dollar store, pearl sprays from the wedding supply section, and leaves punched with the Martha Stewart Twig punch.  Clean, simple and elegant is just perfect for weddings.

Wood Post

I added the words Birthday Party to the sign.  I then printed it out in dark brown.  I coloured it with Lyra artist pencils and cut it out.  I then mounted it with foam on a cream coloured oval cut out with Spellbinders.  I created a dark pink card base and added patterned paper from the K&Co Sola Mat Pad which I stitched around.  I added a some crochet trim near the bottom of the card.  I then cut out another  piece of patterned paper using the Spellbinders Label 18, which I matted with brown card stock.  I mounted this on the card using foam adhesive and mounted the cream card stock on this.  Lastly I added a Zva rose and 2 rosebuds among leaves punched with the Martha Stewart twig punch and some pearly stamens to the bottom left hand corner and some pearls to the upper right hand corner.

Birthday Boy

I created a birthday card for a little boy using a Dustin Pike digital image.

I printed the image and coloured it using Lyra artist pencils and Gamsol.  I used a white card base and layered it with dark blue card stock and patterned paper from the K&Co Hopscotch Designer Mat Pad, stitching some of the layers together.  I then used Staz On ink to colour a piece of drywall mesh and adhered it to the card.  I matted the image with the blue card stock and stitched around it as well and adhered it to the card with foam adhesive.  I printed the birthday boy sentiment and the ticket onto paper from the Hopscotch pad.  I adhered the sentiment  under the image on the right hand side.  The ticket I placed under a Kindred Creations chipboard star that I painted orange, and a button I threaded with orange embroidery thread.
